3+1 multiplex home in Kitsilano.
As the first of many multiplex projects coming soon, we are applying the lessons learned from our ongoing work on missing middle projects and adapting it to the unique character and condition of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. Missing middle refers to the range of housing forms between single family homes and high rise apartments, such as triplexes and townhouses. They are so-called missing because while many families are looking for this type of housing options, there are few in Vancouver.
Kitsilano is one of the most vibrant, walkable, bikeable neighbourhoods in Vancouver. Our 3+1 site-specific design is ideal for this neighbourhood. The design consists of a triplex and a laneway home and features for greater liveability and sociability:
